ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Authorities at Cornell are investigating a suspected arson in a residence hall.

Cornell Police were called to Mary Donlon Hall on Sunday night for a report of fire damage to a ceiling in the building’s east stairwell. Officials say it’s unknown when the blaze occurred and there is no suspect description. The damage was first observed on September 21.  Less than a week ago, authorities were called to nearby Ganedago  Hall for a similar report. A sign near one of the elevators in the building was damaged by fire, and no suspect description was available.

Both incidents are under investigation by Cornell Police and the Cornell Fire Marshal. Anyone with info is asked to contact Cornell Public Safety at (607)-255-1111.
