MARATHON, N.Y. (WHCU) – A Steuben County man is facing a felony in the Town of Marathon.

On Wednesday, Cortland County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home on Route 11 in Marathon for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Once on scene, it was discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen earlier that day in the Town of Bath.

Deputies say 27-year-old Justin Hyde, of Addison, was found inside. Hyde was arrested and charged with criminal possession of stolen property. He’s being held in Cortland County Jail on $2500 cash bail. Hyde is scheduled to appear in Marathon Town Court on October 5 at 6:30 p.m.
