ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — A new, 3-year contract for teachers in the Ithaca City School District includes more time in classrooms.

Superintendent Dr. Luvelle Brown tells 607 News Now the workday would expand to 7 hours and 20 minutes each weekday except Wednesdays.

The contract, which includes retroactive pay raises for the current school year, requires approval from Ithaca Teachers Association members of the ICSD Board of Education.
