SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WHCU) — An 11-year-old girl is dead in Syracuse after a drive-by shooting last evening. 

Police say the girl was on her way home with a gallon of milk when a driver began firing a gun at the intersection of Martin Luther King East and Oakwood Avenue. A 19-year-old nearby was wounded, but their condition is unknown.

The Syracuse Police Department is investigating.
