ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Congressman Marc Molinaro wants a bipartisan solution to what he calls a statewide migrant crisis.
Molinaro is asking President Biden and Governor Hochul to declare an emergency at the state and federal level, citing a need for “compassionate reforms” to the nation’s immigration system and stronger security at the US/Mexico border.
Tioga and Cayuga counties remain under states of emergency over the possible relocation of migrants seeking shelter, while Cortland County pulled its state of emergency in June.
