Part of Ithaca’s Elm Street closed until September

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Traffic delays are expected in the City of Ithaca.

Crews are replacing sidewalks and making other pedestrian improvements in the 100 block of Elm Street. Elm Street is closed to thru traffic from Floral Avenue to Chestnut Street to accommodate the work. A posted detour will be in place.

Drivers coming from and going to west hill should expect additional travel times. The project is expected to wrap up on September 1.
