HOMER, NY (607NewsNow) – A Homer man is facing multiple charges.

On July 24, the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office received allegations of sexual abuse that occurred between July 2023 and July 2025 in the Towns of Homer and Cincinnatus.

The following day, 66-year-old Douglas Gridley was arrested. He is accused of subjecting a minor to inappropriate sexual contact, and authorities say he threatened the child with violence if they came forward. The victim was known to Gridley.

Gridley is charged with three counts of felony sexual abuse, two counts of felony intimidating a victim or witness, five counts of misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child, and five counts of misdemeanor forcible touching.

Gridley was arraigned and sent to Cortland County Jail on $5,000 cash bail. He is scheduled to appear in Homer Town Court on August 5 and Cincinnatus Town Court on August 20.
