ULYSSES, NY (607NewsNow) – A fatal accident in Ulysses is under investigation.

On July 23, authorities responded to Krums Corners Road just after 5 p.m. for a report of a single-vehicle crash.

Investigators determined two people from Long Island were traveling north on Krums Corners Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle, which left the roadway and rolled over.

The driver, 25-year-old Melanie Seneriz, of Ronkonkoma, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. She was taken to Upstate Medical Center by ambulance.

A 23-year-old male passenger from Deer Park, whose name has not yet been released, was taken to Cayuga Medical Center. He later died from his injuries.

The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office says charges are pending.
