FREETOWN, NY (607NewsNow) – Authorities in Cortland County have announced an arrest in a shots-fired investigation.

Michael Bellefleur Jr. is accused of shooting into multiple occupied homes and causing property damage last Tuesday and Wednesday in Freetown.

Deputies say they found weapons and ammunition after executing a search warrant in the 33-year-old Freetown man’s home and vehicle. Bellefleur was arrested on July 18.

He is charged with 15 felonies, including five counts of attempted manslaughter, and 6 misdemeanors.

Bellefleur Jr. was remanded to Cortland County Jail on $30,000 cash bail. He will appear in Freetown Town Court on August 20.
