ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Nearly two dozen bridges in Tompkins County are considered to be in poor condition. 

According to Stacker.com, Tompkins ranks 17th in the state for counties with the most bridges in need of repairs. Out of 191 bridges in Tompkins County, 22 have been identified as being in rough shape.

Governor Hochul recently announced more than $9.5 million in critical infrastructure funding to Tompkins County to replace bridges and culverts. More than half of that funding will be used to replace two bridges in Ithaca.
