ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – The Ithaca City School District will be closed tomorrow, June 24, due to the heat.

Officials say some events scheduled for Tuesday will continue as planned, including moving up ceremonies at DeWitt and Lehman Alternative Middle Schools, primary voting, high school Regents exams in Chemistry and Physics, and the Board of Education special voting meeting.

According to the district, families with graduations or other school events will “hear directly from their building regarding rescheduling.”

In related news, Appleby Elementary School in Marathon will let out at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24. The sixth-grade graduation ceremony has not been rescheduled. It starts at 6 p.m.
