CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — Cortland County is seeing more political activity.

According to the county’s Board of Elections, 143 people registered to vote in May. That’s about a 10 percent increase over April.

Across the county, more than a dozen independent nominating petitions have been filed for the upcoming municipal elections in November.

The county will not have a primary election on June 24.
