AUBURN, NY (607NewsNow) – An Auburn man will spend time behind bars for separate crimes.

On May 9, 51-year-old Matthew Mosher pled guilty to felony attempted assault and felony aggravated family offense.

In a July 2024 incident, Mosher admitted to setting a woman on fire with nail polish remover and a lighter. The victim suffered burns on her legs. According to the Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office, the aggravated family offense was a separate incident involving a different victim.

Mosher faces a maximum of 15 years in state prison for attempted assault, and a maximum of four years for aggravated family offense. He’s scheduled to be sentenced in July.
