CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) – Three Cortland men are facing felonies after allegedly stealing a car.
On April 27, police say 37-year-old Allestir Forest used a previously stolen key to take a vehicle near Church Street around 8:50 a.m.
Forest and two others, 32-year-old Daryl Eaton and 45-year-old Christian Olmstead, allegedly drove the car to Syracuse and later returned to Cortland. It was recovered on Kellogg Road.
All three are charged with felony criminal possession of stolen property. Eaton and Olmstead were released on their own recognizance.
Forest is additionally charged with grand larceny and criminal tampering, which Cortland PD says happened while in custody. Forest was held in Cortland County Jail.
