ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A wireless phone charger has been recalled for fire and burn hazards.
According to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, the lithium-ion battery inside the Casely Power Pods 5000mAh portable MagSafe power bank model E33A can overheat or ignite. “Casely” is engraved on the front right side of the plate product, and E33A is printed on the back. Consumers should immediately discontinue use and contact Casely for a full refund.

There have been 51 consumer reports of overheating, expanding, or catching fire associated with the recall, including six minor burn injuries. Nearly 430,000 were sold on getcasely.com, Amazon.com, and other websites between March 2022 and September 2024.
Lithium-ion batteries cannot be disposed of in the trash or regular curbside recycling due to the elevated fire risk. Contact your local recycling center or household and hazardous waste collector for details on proper disposal.
