ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – An Ithaca man is accused of robbing a restaurant.

On April 2, Ithaca Police were called to an eatery in the 400 block of East State Street around 11 a.m. for a report of a man who used a knife to steal food items. When responding units arrived, officers found the suspect, Ira Bingham, arguing with an uninvolved civilian in the parking lot. IPD says the civilian sustained minor injuries.

The 44-year-old Bingham was taken into custody and charged with felony robbery, felony criminal possession of a weapon, and misdemeanor menacing. Bingham was taken to Tompkins County Jail on $50,000 cash bail.
