AUBURN, NY (607NewsNow) – Authorities in Cayuga County have released more information about a fatal accident in Auburn.

On January 10, Police were called to the Lansing and North Street intersection for a motor vehicle–pedestrian collision. Dewitt allegedly failed to stop at a red light, crossed into the lane, and killed a passenger in the crosswalk. Auburn PD has now identified the victim as 67-year-old Cynthia Stockwell after speaking with the next of kin.

Christopher Dewitt, 31, was arrested in January and charged with vehicular manslaughter and DWI -Drugs.
