LOCKE, NY (607NewsNow) – A Cayuga County man has been charged with rape after a two-month investigation.

Christopher Quaile, of Locke, is accused of having criminal sexual contact with someone under the age of 15. According to State Police, it happened at Quaile’s home multiple times in July 2023. Investigators began looking into the 43-year-old Quaile on January 14 after receiving a tip from Cortland County Child Protective Services.

On March 10, in coordination with the Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office, State Police officially charged Quaile, who was being held in Cayuga County Jail on a separate charge.

After his arraignment, prosecutors recommended no bail due to Quaile’s prior felony convictions and pending sentencing in an unrelated felony case.
