ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – The FDA has upgraded a product recall to the second-most severe risk level.
Oyster crackers sold at Walmart, Target, and Giant Eagle were recently pulled off shelves after stainless steel wire was found in the product. The FDA defines a Class II recall as a situation when “use or exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.”
The crackers were distributed in 24 states, including New York.
