ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — The clock is ticking to submit applications for an upcoming vacancy on the Ithaca Common Council.
Letters of interest and resumes must be submitted to the City Clerk’s office by noon on Thursday. Earlier this year, Third Ward Alderperson Jeffrey Barken announced he’d be stepping down at the end of June.
The person to replace Barken’s seat, who will be selected in June, will be sworn in July 5 and serve through the remainder of 2023.
