ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — The Ithaca City School District is working on a new contract with the Ithaca Teachers Association. 

Superintendent Dr. Luvelle Brown tells WHCU teachers are underpaid.

Teachers are asking for a pay boost.

Brown says a new proposal might be presented to the ITA tomorrow, March 13, when the two sides meet again. The contract talks are being livestreamed over Zoom, which Brown notes is an effort to increase transparency.
