CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) – A homeless man faces drug charges in Cortland.

On March 3, officers with the Cortland County Drug Task Force conducted a narcotics investigation concerning 43-year-old Jody Minor. He was arrested after a brief foot chase in the city.

Minor, who had unrelated warrants from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office and State Police, was allegedly found with 229 bags of fentanyl, 4 bags of cocaine, packaging material, and cash. Authorities say the drugs had an approximate street value of $1,200.

Minor was taken to Cortland County Jail without bail. He is charged with two counts of felony drug possession, misdemeanor resisting arrest, and misdemeanor criminally using drug paraphernalia. He will appear in City of Cortland Court at 10 a.m. on March 12.
