ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — For school districts across New York, today is Decision Day.

Voters will decide the fate of school budgets for the 2023 to 2024 academic year. In the Ithaca City School District, a $158 million budget is on the line. The Cortland Enlarged City School District is asking voters to approve a $54.5 million budget.

Polls in Ithaca and Cortland are open from noon until nine o’clock tonight.  For the Owego-Apalachin Central School District, a $56.7 million is on the ballot. Polls there are open from noon to eight o’clock. Check with your local school district for polling times and locations. 

Board of Education candidates are also appearing on ballots in school districts across the Southern Tier.
