ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A home visit to a parolee has led to drug charges in Ithaca.
On February 13, IPD assisted the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision with a search of a residence in the 600 block of Chestnut Street. During the search, officers found 26 grams of cocaine and nearly $5,000 cash, which they say belonged to another resident, not the parolee.
Sean Canales, 27, of Homestead, Florida was subsequently charged with 2 counts of felony criminal possession of a controlled substance. He will appear in court at a later date.
