ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — TCAT is working with other agencies to bring transit to Ithaca’s underserved neighborhoods.
General Manager Scot Vanderpool tells WHCU he first became aware of the concept several years ago, then it picked up steam last year.
It’s being funded through a seven-million-dollar grant from NYSERDA, the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.
Vanderpool also says a lot of groups are involved.
Ithaca Electric Transportation Access will offer transportation and transit to Ithaca’s West End. An informational meeting will be held tomorrow evening at 5:30 at Coltivare.
