WAVERLY, NY (607NewsNow) – Speed limits on several major roadways in the Village of Waverly have been reduced.

Broad Street is now 20 mph between Route 220 and Spaulding Street.  Reduced speed zones are now also in effect on Waverly Street between Chemung and Broad Streets, and Fulton Street from Chemung Street to the state line.

Village officials have been working over the past year to reduce the speed in those areas to increase public safety.
