OVID, NY (607NewsNow) — After a devastating fire that left several buildings destroyed and lives disrupted in Ovid, many are rallying to offer resources for those affected. Here is a list of a few ways to contribute:

  • The United Way of Seneca County and Catholic Charities of the Finger Lakes are assisting, among others.
  • Volunteers are needed at the Ovid VFW to help sort through an abundance of generous donations, any amount of time you can spare to help is deeply appreciated.

    • “Sending toys and groceries to our neighbors in Ovid affected by the fire Tuesday night. Thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.   • A benefit is being planned for February 1st at the Ovid VFW to support everyone affected by the recent devastating fire. 90 Proof will be one of the bands participating.
  • Varna Community Breakfast to benefit Ovid this Sunday, January 26th from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Varna Community Center.
