OWEGO, NY (607NewsNow) – A man faces multiple charges in Tioga County.

On January 16, deputies were called to a residence on Gaskill Road for a reported assault. While authorities were on the way to the scene, they received word the house was on fire. When they arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames. Following further investigation and witness interviews, deputies arrested 53-year-old Robert Cook.

Cook is charged with three felonies including arson, assault, and criminal mischief. He was taken to Tioga County Jail on $50,000 cash bail.
