ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – An Ithaca man faces multiple felonies.

On January 7, Ithaca Police were called around 11:30 p.m. to an apartment complex at 701 West Court Street for a report that someone had been hit with a pistol. A victim with injuries consistent to the report was located and 54-year-old Andre Hayes was arrested and charged with assault. Hayes was taken to the Tompkins County Jail on $2,000 cash bail.

During a subsequent search of Hayes’ apartment, IPD allegedly found a handgun and drugs. Hayes now has additional pending charges of criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
