ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Tompkins County dispatchers are fielding fewer reports of shots fired.

Last month, the Department of Emergency Response received seven calls about shootings. That’s down from the average number dispatchers usually see in November, which is 19.

Calls about weapons were also lower than normal last month.
