ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Cornell continues to investigate allegations of sex abuse.
In a statement, interim President Michael Kotlikoff says the Chi Phi fraternity remains suspended and several students received a temporary suspension.
“The behavior that has been outlined in the many allegations received is abhorrent and cannot be tolerated within our community,” Kotlikoff stated. “I urge anyone who has experienced or is aware of sexual misconduct on our campus to report it to the Office of Institutional Equity and Title IX via their online reporting tool. Only those who perpetrate sexual violence benefit from its concealment.”
In October, the Cornell University Police Department says a student was drugged and sexually assaulted at an off-campus party by a group of male students.
