ALBANY, N.Y. (WHCU) — New York lawmakers continue their debate on a budget for 2024.
Senator Lea Webb tells us there’s still a lot to consider.
Webb adds legislators also want to make sure everyone is represented.
Meanwhile, a three-day budget extension was approved Monday to keep state operations going. It was the third extension since lawmakers missed the April 1 deadline to approve the 2024 budget. They remain at odds on major issues including bail reform and housing.
If the budget isn’t approved by tomorrow, another budget extension must be passed.
