CORTLAND, NY (CortacaToday) — Cortland County dispatchers are getting more calls about shootings.

In September, the Department of Emergency Response & Communication received 10 reports of shots fired. That’s the highest amount of any month this year.

Dispatchers also received nearly a dozen calls about people with weapons.
