ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) – Ithaca Police found a person with 20 active warrants at Ithaca’s Apple Harvest Festival.
Officers working the event around 1:30 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2024, recognized the suspect, 39-year-old Jessiah Jones, who allegedly resisted when officers tried to take him into custody. Jones, of Ithaca, was wanted on 13 counts of trespassing, 5 counts of petit larceny, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and harassment.
Jones faces new charges of resisting arrest and criminal mischief from Friday’s incident. All of his alleged offenses are misdemeanors or violations.
