CORTLAND, NY (CortacaToday) — The City of Cortland is dealing with staffing challenges.

Mayor Scott Steve said multiple positions are open in the Department of Public Works. He said the Police Department is also looking to hire six officers, plus a chief.

“The chief interviews are happening,” he said.

The city recently hired Mike Wiese as superintendent of public works. He previously worked in Cayuga Heights.
