ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) – An Ithaca man faces multiple charges related to two incidents near Cornell earlier this month.
Floyd Slater Jr. was arrested on Thursday, September 19, 2024, after authorities executed a search warrant at his Slaterville Road home. The warrant was in relation to alleged crimes that happened on September 5, 2024, near Delaware and University Avenues.
The Ithaca Police Department charges the 32-year-old with attempted burglary, exposure of a person, menacing, and public lewdness. Slater, who is a parolee, was turned over to State Police where he additionally faces charges of attempted sex abuse, menacing, and public lewdness.

Investigators say they believe other victims may not have reported similar crimes committed against them and are asking anyone with information to come forward. They released Slater’s picture “due to the nature of the complaints investigated and community safety.”
