Amid public concern about privacy and who may have access to information collected by Flock Safety cameras, representatives will come to Tompkins County.

On September 19, Captain Anthony Phelps of the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office was awarded the state’s 2024 Police Officer Medal of Honor.

On September 17, 27-year-old Dominick Bova, of Corning, was formally charged with 11 felonies and 3 misdemeanors related to an August 22 bank robbery in Addison.

37-year-old Cassandra Hall and 33-year-old Elizabeth Deboe are charged with welfare fraud in Elmira.

On September 13, State Police were called to a residence on Foster Road in Homer for a “domestic incident with possible shots fired.”

On September 9, deputies arrested Miles Floyd, of Nichols, after an investigation of alleged threats made to several people at an address in the Town of Owego.

On September 8, deputies responded to the Best Buy Distribution Center in Nichols for a report of a larceny in progress.

52-year-old John McNamara was arrested and charged with failure to report a change of address, which is a felony.

On September 15, 27-year-old Christopher Woods, of Horseheads, was arrested following the death of 3-year-old Finn Hopkins at Arnot Ogden Medical Center.

45-year-old Lawrence Grebleski Jr. of Ithaca is charged with two counts of grand larceny and two counts of misdemeanor conspiracy.
