(607NewsNow) — William Matter Law Offices are looking to ensure safety this St. Patrick’s Day.

Their “Safe Ride 4 St. Patrick’s Day” program will provide a $20 Uber ride discount voucher for the first 1,000 registrants. Registration is open until March 14th, or until all of the vouchers have been claimed.

The Safe Ride programs have been around for about 20 years and started as a way to provide a safe journey home for those celebrating New Year’s Eve.

“We’ve expanded over the years, but we always have the Safe Ride program for New Year’s Eve. The last few years, we’ve implemented St. Patrick’s Day, the 4th of July, as well as the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Since our firm handles motor vehicle crashes, it only made sense to start an initiative to try and lessen the amount of people injured in accidents by giving them a safe way home and keeping potentially impaired drivers off the road,” says William Mattar, President of William Mattar Law Offices.

Year-round, the firm does various community outreach campaigns and programs.

“We have events during October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our Code Blue program which aims to help the homeless population when the weather gets below 32 degrees, and many more throughout the course of the year. We do a lot of social media content too, which usually shows a more jovial side to the firm so people can get to know us a little better.”
