CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) – A Cortland County man is facing multiple felonies after a four-month investigation.

On March 4, 84-year-old Donald Griest, of Willet, was arrested and charged with felony sexual abuse and two counts of felony rape. The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office began investigating the man after receiving a report of sexual abuse allegations in November 2024.

Willet is accused of subjecting a victim known to him to inappropriate sexual contact between January 2022 and November 2024. He is additionally charged with misdemeanors of forcible touching and unlawful imprisonment.
