ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Senator Lea Webb says her holiday sock drive was a success.

“I am truly overwhelmed by the generosity and compassion our community has shown during my inaugural sock drive,” Senator Webb said. “Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve been able to collect hundreds of pairs of socks to help housing-insecure children and adults stay warm this holiday season. This drive has highlighted the strength of our community and our shared commitment to caring for one another. Together, we’ve made a meaningful difference in the lives of so many, reminding us all of the power of giving.”

Hundreds of socks were collected across the 52nd state Senate district, which Webb notes surpassed its goal for the inaugural year. The socks were donated to children and adults who need to stay warm.
