WAVERLY, NY (CortacaToday) – A Waverly man faces charges following an investigation into a domestic disturbance.

Wavery Police responded to a home in the village early on Saturday, July 27, 2024, after a reported assault. Investigators say 40-year-old Mark Reekstin attacked a woman that night and, on another occasion, including in front of a child. Reekstin was arrested around 2:15 a.m.

Reekstin is charged with strangulation, criminal mischief, and six misdemeanors. He was held to await further legal actions.
