WATKINS GLEN, NY (607NewsNow) – Watkins Glen is looking to honor its late mayor, Laurie DeNardo.

The nonprofit group Watkins Glen Promotions is accepting donations toward the installation of a Memorial at Clute Park.

A lifelong village resident, DeNardo became mayor in 2023 following her retirement from a 40-year career in Human Resources at Cornell University.

DeNardo passed away in March after a 10-month battle with cancer.
