ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) — The head of a union representing nearly 1,200 striking employees at Cornell likes a tentative agreement.

UAW Local 2300 President Christine Johnson shared details of the proposed contract Thursday on Ithaca’s Morning News.

A proposed wage increase is also favorable.

Johnson tells us the deal also includes inflation protection.

Union members will vote Sunday and Monday to ratify the four-year contract, which would mark the end of a strike that’s lasted nearly two weeks. If approved, Cornell officials say the striking employees will return to work on Tuesday.
