DRYDEN, NY (CortacaToday) – A traffic stop leads to gun and drug charges for an Ithaca man.
On Saturday, August 31, 2024, Tompkins County Sheriff’s deputies pulled a black Chevy pick-up truck over in Dryden for a suspended registration. While speaking with the driver, 27-year-old Emmitt Houston, authorities say they noticed a weapon in the back seat.
After a search, an AR-15 rifle, short-barrel shotgun, high-capacity magazine, and narcotics were allegedly found inside. Houston is charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a weapon and misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Houston is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
