ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – An Ithaca man is facing charges after a traffic stop.

On July 9, an Ithaca Police Officer and a New York State Trooper working a Gun Involved Violence Elimination (GIVE) detail pulled a vehicle over around 1 p.m. on South Titus Avenue.

According to IPD, the suspect was exhibiting “behavior consistent with drug dealing.” A K9 was deployed, and officers say they found suspected heroin, crack, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

The driver, 48-year-old Jason Denmark, was arrested and charged with two counts of felony drug possession and a misdemeanor.

Denmark was taken to Tompkins County Jail without bail.
