Tompkins County sees rise in room tax revenue

ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) — Tompkins County is collecting more room tax revenue.

According to data from the Department of Planning & Sustainability, the county collected around $1.5 million in the third quarter of 2024. That’s roughly $47,000 more than the same time frame last year.

Room tax revenue comes from hotels and bed-and-breakfasts.
