ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – The Tompkins County Office of Human Rights (OHR) is alerting the community to a “developing restructure.”
After the exit of Director Dr. Kenneth Clarke, OHR’s West State Street office in Ithaca will be closed beginning January 1. The administrative staff is relocating temporarily to the Tompkins County Administration building at 125 East Court Street in Ithaca.
Anyone needing services can continue to call OHR at (607)-277-4080. Staff will refer callers to the appropriate partners, such as 211, the Worker’s Center, CNY Fair Housing, and more.
The Tompkins County Human Rights Commission (HRC) will additionally host weekly drop-in office hours during the interim period. Any questions should be directed to OHR by phone, or you can email the Tompkins County Human Rights Commission at HRC.Tompkinscounty@gmail.com.
Officials say the Tompkins County Legislature will likely appoint a working group to consider OHR’s future in 2025.
