DANBY, NY (607NewsNow) – You can meet candidates vying for higher office in Tompkins County.

On June 4, the League of Women Voters is hosting the first in a series of candidate forums ahead of the primary election later this month.

The three prospective people looking to represent District 13 on the Tompkins County Legislature – Kyle Erickson, Matt Sullivan, and Irene Weiser – will give statements and answer questions. The newly drawn District 13 covers Caroline and Danby.

A forum for Town Council Candidates will follow. They include Zachary Larkins, Mark Pruce, and James Tyler Stein.

It starts at 7 p.m. on Wednesday in Fellowship Hall at the Danby Community Church.  It will also be streamed live on YouTube.

On June 5, the League of Women Voters will host candidates for Legislative District 3 at GIAC. On June 11, they’ll return to GIAC for candidate forums for potential Alderpersons in City Wards 1 and 5 for the Common Council.

The primary election is June 24, with early voting to begin on June 14.
