OWEGO, NY (CortacaToday) — Tioga County is preparing for a loaded legislative session on Tuesday.

Lawmakers will look to appoint Sara Zubalsky-Peer as an economic development specialist. She’s expected to begin on Nov. 4.

Officials will also talk about an opioid settlement involving Target. The county estimates it’ll receive about $70,000 from the retail giant.

Other items on the agenda include renewing a contract for alcohol and substance abuse counseling, and reappointing Democratic Election Commissioner James Wahls.

The meeting starts at 12 p.m. on Tuesday at the Ronald E. Dougherty County Office Building in Owego.
