CANDOR, NY (607NewsNow) — A man reported missing in Tioga County has been found.

Sheriff Gary Howard says a 69-year-old man was reported missing Friday in the town of Candor. The man’s family says he suffers from dementia. Deputies couldn’t find him on foot, but a police drone later spotted him about a quarter of a mile away from the home partly laying in a creek.

After he was treated on the scene, the man was taken to a hospital for continued evaluation.

The man’s name has not been released.
